chipperfield-1.jpg

So, I know I posted on David Chipperfield’s America’s Cup building a couple weeks ago – but I couldn’t help throwing this picture up here that I found over at our ninja’s site: east coast Architecture review.

Here’s a view of Pierre Cardin’s ‘outrageous bubble house, originally designed by Antti Lovag, near Cannes’ – as seen through the lens of photographer Ken Sparkes.

leaninghouse.jpg

So other than the fact that there’s a building in this photo, it doesn’t really have anything to do with architecture – but so what? Untitled, Leaning House [2004], by Rodney Smith was exhibited in the photographer’s show Surreal [April 22- May 28. 2005] at the John Cleary Gallery in Houston – and is pretty ill.

Speaking of photography, architecture.mnp is happy to promote the MNP Group’s newest family member – photo.mnp. We have a Flickr account up and running, and are hoping to host all sorts of myninjaplease photo insanity – so set up a Flickr account and tag your pictures mnp and/or myninjaplease!

Trizlam in Morocco

trizlam-1.jpg

Our ninja Trizlam went to Morocco – and I hate him for it. Why, you ask? Well mostly because I’m a hater, and he got to go to Morocco while I was in the Bean working for ‘the man’. Do I need a better reason? I didn’t think so…

So I know what you’re thinking – ‘why do I care that this sonofabitch went to Morocco?’ Well, my ninjas, with any luck we’ll have some updates for you with trip photos for you [maybe on our very own 'photo.mnp' page? who knows...] and probably some siiiick music, as Tris is our ninja crate digger extraordinaire.

Either way, head on over to our music page and download our podcasts – because MNP has a soundtrack, my ninjas, and its required listening.

ed. note: if only you knew how many orange-haired ninjas are over here holding it down at MNP – one or two more of us and the universe might implode, so watch out.

shopping-carts.jpg

Not really architecture related – but a great photo nonetheless. Yes, its a circle of shopping carts – and hell yeah I filed it under the ‘installation’ category…
