leed_platinum.jpg Sumenta without a prescription, Well, my ninjas, its another Green Tuesday here at architecture.mnp - and I'm bringing you some info straight from the USGBC on building green homes in the US [sorry to all my international ninjas - but I assume things are similar wherever you're at]. Cheap sumenta internet, I was perusing the USGBC website [trying to study for LEED, which is not a simple task] when I came across this 'Top 10 Truths about LEED for Homes', cheap sumenta from uk, Get sumenta, a pretty interesting list basically giving you reasons to green your [or your client's] home. Featured here is my favorite point, buy sumenta no rx, Find no rx sumenta, for all you haters out there [you know who you are]:

3. LEED homes are very cost-effective to build

The reality is that the net cost of owning a LEED home is the same as a code home, sumenta overnight. Cheap sumenta tablet, A brief explanation follows. The typical cost of an entry level (i.e., certified) LEED home is about 3 to 5 percent higher than a home that is built to code, sumenta without a prescription. For an averaged priced $300, approved sumenta pharmacy, Sumenta generic, 000 new home, this means a cost increment of about $10, generic sumenta cheap, Order discount sumenta online, 000 for the additional green measures. When this $10, sumenta india, Sumenta us, 000 cost increment is amortized over 30 years, the result is an increase in the monthly mortgage payment of approximately $70 per month, sumenta purchase. Sale sumenta, This amounts to a cost increase of about $2 per day - for all of the feature and benefits of a LEED home (e.g., healthier, buy sumenta online australia, Sumenta overnight shipping, more comfortable, more durable, sumenta pharmacy, Sumenta buy online, energy efficient, and environmentally responsible), sumenta cost. However, if you also weigh in the approximately 30 percent utility bill savings from a LEED home, the utility bill savings are approximately $70 per month. So, the bottom line is that the increase in the cost of the monthly mortgage payment is about the same as the monthly utility bill savings. And so the net monthly cost of a owning a LEED home is the same as the monthly cost of owning a home that is built to code.

So head on over to the USGBC and find out why you should be building green, and study up to become a LEED AP [speaking of which, anyone want to share notes. I'm serious here, my ninjas...].

  1. I was just trying to study up on LEED, oddly not for my home blog but my office supply blog. You’re not wrong it is really hard to sort out their criteria. I spent forever on their site. I wish I would have had your handy link to that list a few days ago. I can’t tell if your a fan or not from your post but considering that green building cuts down massively on hazardous material waste I’m for it. Even if their site reads like Chinese to me. The US alone threw out what, like 264 million tons of trash (NOT counting construction trash) in 2005. Something has got to give. Okay thanks for the link, which I will now proceed to go check out. Hopefully it’s as useful as it sounds.

  2. to mr. ninja, study all of the LEED credits. You can DL Docs1095.pdf from the USBC website and you will not really need the LEED refernce manual. Also get some sample questions. You can buy them or dl some from various places (or get them from your frined who works a at a big firm). Get to know the type of questions they ask and the tricks they use. do those things and you will be fine.

  3. whatup my ninjas –

Thanks for the informative responses! Jennifer, I definitely believe in green design across the board [all design should be 'green'] – I just don’t really like LEED and the USGBC. Other than rating the buildings and giving people gold stars [or platinum, or whatever], what does LEED do? Basically nothing. Oh, no, wait – they charge you a ton of money for reference material, to take the test, and to register your building.

ANYWAYS – still going to study and take the test and all that, I just think its kind of BS.

  4. agreed – LEED is stupidly expensive, unnessecarily confusing, and should only be used for big buildings. Until it becomes law (what up california) or you get tax credits, it is really just a big hooray-for-me certificate. It is, however, a step in the right direction.

  5. Oh good, I see where you’re coming from. I agree. And I hope you study and at least get it, if you need to. Maybe you’ll get so LEED smart that you can get in on the inside and make some changes! Like a ninja spy. Wait? Do ninjas spy? I have to be honest all I know about Ninjas I learn from my son’s cartoons. Actually scratch that being on the inside would be lame. Thanks for explaining you position.
