Apparently, world cement production produces more pollution than air travel? The key to using this durable building material, in my opinion, is to maximize the use of SCM’s (like flyash which of course comes from a dirty process loaded with CO2 emissions but is produced currently whether we want it or not) in our concrete. This may mean some longer cure times, but if we can reduce our cement needs and still end up with this great material, it is a short term solution that has great merit.
