Symptoms of childhood ALL.Allow me to start this post by saying that this is a ‘chaisse’ – not a bed. While looking for other articles on the Wave Chaise I encountered multiple sources that slammed the piece for how uncomfortable it would be as a bed – which it is not.
That being said – here’s the Wave Chaise, by Brazilian designer Roberta Rammê.
You know, I’m not even sure what to say. Part of me thinks the chaise is kind of cool – sexy curved shape, serves multiple functions, etc – and the rest of me can’t get over the idea that it was designed for teenagers. I mean, I understand the Mac on the desks – teens should have computers if they can, they’re great. But pricey [looking] furniture with a spot for a built in flatscreen? Where the hell are these kids being raised? Either way, take it for what its worth – the chaise is at least an interesting piece of eye candy…

I hate to say, I have no additional information on this thing – just what’s in the post. What I like is the idea that this one piece of furniture defines so many functions in one space…furniture designs like this are what the open floor plan have been missing.

That is really cool! I know the author says this is more chaise than bed but I think we all can agree that you should get one if you don’t have one. In all seriousness, this is a really modern design that I haven’t seen before and the designer should get a big thumbs up.
