The design for the project is elegant in its simplicity – starting out with a plain rectilinear box, Mount Fuji Architects ‘sliced’ through the volume, ‘sliding’ and ‘swinging’ these new partitions to create a new form that not only provides an interesting aesthetic, but also opens the space to the outside – bringing in natural light not only from the ends, but also from all the triangular openings formed by the sliding of the partitions [shown above].
